Thrift Store Treasure

Skirt: Good will

Brooch: Fabulous Brooch (here)

Beside my crazy obsession with makeup, I am a thrift store junkie. I Think a lot of people are missing out on finding great pieces , because they simply hate the idea of going to a thrift store. Some of my favorite pieces are from the thrift store.

A couple of weeks ago on my lunch break, I decided to go roam inside goodwill. I had no intentions on buying anything, it was simply to pass the time. My eyes caught this skirt and I had to have it. If you’re familiar with Goodwill, they had 50%off every day of the week. The way it works is that each item has a tag color, and everyday items with a particular tag color is 50% off. Lucky me that day the color green was half off, so I paid $2.50 for this skirt.

I decided to keep this outfit pretty basic (sometimes less is more) Pair it with a black high neck bodysuit and black pumps. I did add the gold brooch for a little extra flavor.

Purse: Burlington (bought in store) exact same (here)

I just love a dress that screams Confidence, Elegance, Comfort and beautiful. I am not a fashionista, but I do love to dress up and feel like I can conquer the world. When I saw this dress, I knew I had to get it. The dress is simple, but so feminine, eye-catching and the sleeves are so appropriate for fall.  I was heading to church so I thought Gold would be a nice accent to pair the dress with. I added the brooch as an accent (which was totally on the wrong side) I also wore a pair of gold and black pumps.
